How To Create a LIFE You Only Dream About

What I’ve got for you:

I’m reading GRANT CARDONE’s book Be Obsessed or Be Average, and I have to tell you it is great!

What It Will Do For YOU:

This exercise will get you completely focused on what you want to do in your life.

How To Create a LIFE You Only Dream About …

In order to create a life you dream about – you need to ask the right questions.

What all know that the right questions lead to the RIGHT ANSWERS.

Here are the right questions (note: I wrote these down while listening to the audio book so they are not verbatim)

What Activity or Game Would You Like to Have?

What life game excites you right now?

What is so exciting that you would do anything to accomplish? i.e. Jump off a building to accomplish or drive through a wall?

What currently bores you?

What is the thing or things YOU have always wanted to do?

What don’t you want to do?

What causes you to forget to eat?

What have you been interested in since childhood?

Big Dreams?

Money

What are you willing to do for NO money?

What are you willing to do for ridiculous money?

What would you like to do for a LOT of money?

If money had nothing to do with your life, what would you do with your time?

What amount of money would give you the security that you believe you need?

What amount of money would give you complete and total financial freedom?

What amount of money would you need to really make a difference in your family’s life?

Skills

What is the skill and talent you have that makes you better than anyone?

What are some of your native skills?

What have you always been good at?

What have you always been bad at?

What skills or talents that you had that you are ignoring?

What are terrible at and should ever be doing?

What are you doing that is a complete waste of your time and talent?

In what areas do others think more of you than you do?

What are some skills you need to develop in your life?

Market research

What is a product or service that routinely complain about?
(this is how Uber was founded – complaining about Taxi’s)

Look for the things you routinely complain about …

What is a thing or business idea you routinely have thought of but have not done yet?

Legacy

What do you want to be remembered for 100 years from now?

What contribution can you make to society that you would be super proud of?

What do you want to make sure others never say about you?

Write down 5 successful people that you admire:

What are those people doing that you admire the most?

What to those you admire have in common with each other? Common Link or Behavior?

What do you have in common with those people?

If you could meet anyone dead or alive and spend time with them who would it be?

Who is the most supportive person in your life today?

Who are constantly reminding you that you are not achieving these things or that you can’t?

Who do you a have in your life that are achieving these things or who help support these dreams.

Lifestyle

What makes you feel good? What activity makes you feel amazing?

What gives you a lot of energy?

What bores you and does not make you feel good?

What do you not enjoy or annoys or bothers you?

What are you doing that you later regret?

What bad habits do you need to stop and what do you need to start?

If you were to write a book, what would it be about?

What inspirational lessons could someone draw from your life?

If you knew you couldn’t fail – what would you do?

If you could be known for doing one unbelievable great thing – what would that thing be?

This exercise will get you completely focused on what you want to do in your life.

What is Marketing Optimization? The Answer…

Marketing Optimization – In this article we will show you the basics of Optimization and the art of turning traffic into revenue. Keep reading…

What is Marketing Optimization?

Internet Marketing Optimization

Internet Marketing Optimization

Some people Define Marketing Optimization as simply getting your listing higher in Search Engine Results. However this is extremely Myopic (short-sighted) – Some people think Optimization is driving traffic to your site (also a Myopic Definition).

The truth is Traffic is nothing on your site unless it is reaching the right audience and converting. You could get a million hits on your website without a dollar of profit.

Optimization is much bigger than that. So let’s define what Optimization actually is.

Yes Optimization includes higher search results, and yes it includes driving more traffic to your site. But more than that Optimization is basically Maximizing what you are doing to get the best result – for example – optimization is making twice the Sales in half the time. That is optimization. It is doubling your conversions – getting the right traffic – getting the right clients – getting the MOST with LEAST effort.

Marketing Optimization – How To Turn Traffic into Revenue

There are three main failures web designers and SEO’s make. I call these the three website holes:

  • 1. Irresistible Offer: Does the site adequately capture identities with an irresistible offer?
  • 2. Follow Up: Once you capture leads, do you follow up with an email or sales call? You should at least email all subscribers your new stuff to get them to return to your site regularly.
  • 3. Ask for reviews, shares & referrals: You don’t often get what you don’t ask for. Word of mouth is by far the most powerful of all advertising. Ask for reviews, ask for referrals and ASK for shares.

Four Secrets to Internet Marketing Optimization – SEO Tutorial:

Four rules you must follow to increase your rank and boost your Google Rankings in organic Search results

SIMPLE SEO TIPS – FROM ZERO TO HERO

Simplifying Search Engine Optimization

If you want to conquer Search Engines, there are four main points, or “pillars”, you must follow. These techniques are built on completely honest steps or “white-hat SEO”. Our Philosophy is that shady techniques and weird tricks (known as “Black-hat SEO”) will eventually be found and blocked by Search Engines and those with hard work and true perfection and care will win. Follow all steps in this book and you may dominate your competition quickly and for a long time.

Wordpress Multisite SEO Tips
WordPress Multisite SEO Tips

1. Well Built: (Also known as SEO Architecture) is building your site correctly so that it is easily navigated by a user as well as Search Engines. What if I told you that you can beat many of your competition on correct website architecture, 5 out of 10 sites can be beaten on SEO Architecture alone.

2. Back Links: Think of backlinks as ‘votes’. Similar to politics – Search Engines consider sites by the amount of other websites that ‘vote’ or link-back to your site. It used to be sheer number of votes would rank your site – however, as Search Engines became smarter – it now depends on the trust (relevancy) and rank of the sites that link to your site – called ‘Google Page Rank’ the higher the trust of the sites and the more relevant they are to you – the higher your site will be ranked.

3. Site Content: Readable – unique content is becoming more important than ever on every page. This is where keywords come in. What is your public looking for? How can people find you? What words are you using? If you were a visitor arriving at your site, how would you find what you are looking for? Would you consider recommending this site to others? Search Engines are looking for good content that is relevant to what searchers are looking for. Do people stay on your site or do they bounce off of it.

4. Site Age: This is a hard one to fake and for that reason it is an important point of Search Engine Rank. The longer you keep your website the more stable it seems and the more unlikely it is to disappear. There are other signals that you can’t fake as well: like the number of years you own that domain for (two or more is recommended). What other sites are on the same server and their trust.

SEO Web Design

When developing an SEO Web Design Strategy, you should include these important facts:

Speed Test Website

Question: How long does it take for your website to load?

Answer: The number of opportunities to fail will be directly proportionate to the length of the runway.

Computer Speed Test

Did you know that 17% of the Internet’s traffic is now done on a Mobile Phone.

You should regulary test your website to see how long it takes to load on a mobile phone. The faster you can get you site to load the better.

How Many Clicks To Conversion?

Click Depth: How many clicks to arrive at the desired page? Ideal = 3 or less.

Note: Improving website speed also improves Search Engine ranking.

Amazing Social Media Marketing Questionnaire to Get Ideal Clients

I am giving you an amazing Social Media Marketing Questionnaire – which will help you locate and target your ideal clients online and offline (and via Social Media). You may use it for free, all that I ask in exchange is that you share it by clicking those cute share-able buttons beside this post. Enjoy!

Social Media Marketing Questionnaire

Social Media Marketing Questionnaire

Social Media Marketing Questionnaire:

How To Get Your Ideal Clientele With Minimal Effort.

Estimated Time: 1 Hour
The very first step is to decide what the ideal scene is for your business – you have to picture the IDEAL SCENE of your business as a vivid picture in your mind and then compare the ideal scene to the existing scene.

How would you like to feel? Would there be a stress-free abundance?

This is not a long process – I just want you to establish one goal – all we need is one goal! To get it your existing scene to ideal – what would that be:

Write down the ideal scene for your company or business.
Goal:
Really get the mind-set of exactly what you want to achieve so that is does not waiver or falter. “You have to aim for the Stars to get to the top of the Palm Tree”.

Now, write down the existing scene.
You need a clear picture of what is missing – or what is not happening in your current business.

Now, compare the two outlines and note those differences.
When comparing the existing business to your ideal business – it makes it easy to determine what the biggest problem is – and what the immediate goals should be to bring the picture closer to ideal.

Create a “Unique Selling Proposition”
A.K.A. “Slogan”, “Elevator Speech”, “Mantra”, “Motto”, etc.

List out 5 reasons why your product or service is of better value:
You should know and really believe that your product is better and that you would be doing a disservice to your clients if you let them use another vendor who is going to either treat them worse – or cheat them out of their money. You need to know that you are doing your client a huge favor by ensuring they are taken care of – if you are not helping them out correctly – who will?

Summarize all five of those points into one short statement: i.e. “Hot Fresh Pizza Delivered in
30 Minutes of less”:

Make a clear decisive statement for your customers so they understand why you are the superior person to go with when considering your competition. This is also known as the “Elevator Speech” where you can tell people exactly what you do in one sentence.

Domino Pizza – created this “Unique Selling Proposition” a long time ago and it made them millions. Another example is Fed Ex – “When It Absolutely, Positively has to arrive overnight” or some such statement. This resonated with people and Fed Ex is where it is today because of this.

Determine Your Ideal Prospects

Estimated Time: 1 Hour

Who is your ideal customer?

Your Ideal prospect is a type customer that you would like to have many more of (perhaps hundreds more of). Consider your current clients right now, which one of them is ideal? If you have no ideal clients – let’s name who they should be. Here are some questions to help isolate a list:

Write down the answers to these questions – so you know what direction to take:

List who are your current ideal prospects? The ideal prospects are the customers you would like to have hundreds more of.

In order to get the ideal clients – you have to focus on the ideal client and their needs. You have to “Step Into Their Shoes”

What benefit (or benefits) does your ideal prospect want-and-need?

What can you provide that your ideal prospect is looking for in terms of solutions.

What do your competitors provide? What do they do better than you and worse than you?

Check your biggest competitors to see what they are providing – in a way that delivers this need.

What do you provide? What things are better or worse than your competitor(s)?

Compare yourself to your competitors – what can you provide that makes you much better than the competition?

What is the ideal prospect’s biggest problem that is not being met? How could you help him solve it?
You need to clearly understand your client. Know him almost better than you know yourself. Out of all of the problems – what would you say is the biggest?

What are your goals? (Examples: More money, more free time, more control, to be able to sell your business in 5 years, to be able to have the business run itself, etc.)

Really step into the shoes of your ideal prospect – once you have really assumed the “Role” of your ideal client – do the following exercise: Write down generally what you think your ideal client is most likely doing from dusk till dawn.

If you still don’t know what their day looks like – ask an ideal client.
You should be getting a clear idea of exactly the needs and lifestyle of your client. Isn’t this awesome. It gets better:

Step Three: Find Out Where To Promote To Your Ideal Client:

Estimated Time: 1 Hour

Write down the Demographics of your ideal prospect:

• Age
• Buying preferences (retail – upscale or discount, direct mail magazines, phone, etc.)
• Educational background
• Ethnic group
• Financial worth
• Gender
• Geographic region
• Hobbies
• Income
• Marital status
• Membership in associations or groups
• Neighborhood
• Other
• Political views
• Position
• Religion
• Subscriptions to magazines, cable or newspapers
• Type automobile
• Type business
• Type investments (home owner, savings account, stocks, bonds, etc.)
• Vacations

Now go through the ideal clients Day and Demographics and figure out the best places to meet – talk to your ideal clients and brainstorm 5 ways to contact your clients:

You want to create some great ideas that your competition are not doing in order to start contacting these clients with the vital services that they need.

Write down who can refer these types of prospects to you:

For each of the following groups include both existing and former. For example, you would consider existing and former vendors, customers, employees, competitors, etc. Or you could consider combinations such as former employees of competitors.

• Association members (Fraternal, social, industry, charity, or interest based.)
• Church members
• Competitors
• Customers
• Employees
• Governmental regulatory agencies
• Leaders or celebrities who your prospects admire, respect and/or trust.
• Magazines editors, writers for publications.
• Neighbors and friends
• Other businesses and professionals who your prospects trust in your area.
• Other businesses and professionals who your prospects trust outside your area.
• Prospects
• Prospects who did not convert
• Relatives
• Special interest groups (Cigars, travel, music, whale watching, etc.)
• Vendor
• Who do the prospects do business with before, during and after the prospect does business with you: In other words, who has the customers you want

Step Four: Start to immediately start getting referrals from current clients and vendors:

Using the list that you created in the earlier steps – create a list of people to contact – by any means possible get their Email – Phone or Address (Preferably all three).

The bigger the list, the better.

Of course, it must be relevant names to your business and contacts. This is where you should be looking to build a large, ever-growing email list, and so continue to build that list as the years go on. Note: Be sure that all emails sent have the option at the bottom to stop receiving your emails.

CREATE A KILLER LIST (You most likely have a great list already…)

Add all current and past clients to your email list. Go through all records, billing statements, receipts, emails, business cards, etc. Unless they are dead or ill-willed, add all names and emails to your list.

Now add all vendors, past and present. They want you to succeed as they have a vested interest in you staying in business and being profitable.

Add any followers from your social media sites (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook.); import their email data over to your email list.

Add anyone that has ever inquired about your services, but has yet to do business with you.

Website visitors. Add an opt-in box and/or a pop-up to your website to capture their identity. Offer something, such as a free consultation, white paper or subscription to a newsletter as an enticement for their email.

Add the emails of any members of any groups that you belong to, such as the local chamber, Rotary, BNI etc.

If you have purchased any legal email lists, add these names.

Friends & Family. Yes, they should receive your emails as well. This is a great source of word-of-mouth.

Now start adding the emails of hose that you meet at trade shows, community events, seminars, etc. Follow up and remind them that you exist.

Create a custom email to your current clients – an email to your current customers, explaining that it’s a privilege for someone to be your customer.

Most people get it wrong. They beg for customers. A great way to get referral business that we’ve developed is to write a letter to your current customers, explaining that it’s a privilege for someone to be your customer.

Example Email

Dear [Client].

I just wanted to say that I enjoy doing business with you more than any other clients I work with – and I realized that you associate with other amazing people, like yourself – friends and vendors who mirror your values and qualities.

I’m writing as a service to alert you to the fact that my consulting practice is getting extremely full, and I’ll only be able to accept maybe a dozen or so more businesses.

You obviously know the exact people I prefer working with that you’d like to extend to them the opportunity of referring your valued and trusted associates to you.

I would prefer your referrals to any other source of customers or clients.

For example: We helped [insert another client’s name] tremendously since they started with us [specifics – Help the customer or client see a clear picture of who in their lives could benefit most effectively, and naturally, from your services or products.]

In fact you may know several businesses just like this…[Show them what that person or entity would be doing or buying right now—so that the picture is vivid]

But before I accept new people from the outside, I want to alert you, because if you would like to refer any of your associates or friends to me, I’ll give you first priority. I ask only that you don’t dally.

Give me a call and register their names so I’ll know how many spaces I should reserve for you. I appreciate your business.

Sincerely,

Charles

Amazing Digital Video Marketing: The Most Important Secret

2787661344_1f3424a81d_b

In today’s free tutorial I’m going to show you the number one secret to Create Online Videos That Sell!

I’m going to show you how to attract your ideal clients through Facebook and YouTube Video – the two hottest video platforms today!

Wayne Gretzky is one of my favorite sports figures … He’s also a smart business man.

Fullscreen capture 282016 110412 AM
If YOUR BUSINESS were a HOCKEY PUCK – where would it be going?

It’s no secret. The future of the INTERNET (and thus your business) is video.

We went from a few channels to millions of channels (Facebook Video, YouTube Video) in less than a decade.

(Uhh Ohh, I’m dating myself here – yes, I’m in my 30’s and yes, I know what the Dinosaurs were like).

Did you know that YouTube is the second largest search engine? Getting more searches than Bing or Yahoo?

At World Class Media, we specialize in online video marketing. We had a our highest ever month, and we used video to pull in over $185,000 in one month, just using online video and advertising. How much did we spend on advertising on Facebook that month? We spent around $3,000.

Not a bad return … $185K in revenue and only $3,000 in spend.

NOTE: Of course we have built a list for our clients to over 30,000 people. But we regularly make over 100K a month in online sales. So I know what I’m talking about …

Now let’s go over why VIDEO is so important for your business:

“YouTube Statistics:

Momentum

  • YouTube has over a billion users — almost one-third of all people on the Internet — and every day people watch hundreds of millions of hours on YouTube and generate billions of views.
  • YouTube overall, and even YouTube on mobile alone, reaches more 18-34 and 18-49 year-olds than any cable network in the U.S.
  • The number of hours people spend watching videos (aka watch time) on YouTube is up 60% y/y, the fastest growth we’ve seen in 2 years.
  • The number of people watching YouTube per day is up 40% y/y since March 2014.
  • The number of users coming to YouTube who start at the YouTube homepage, similar to the way they might turn on their TV, is up more than 3x y/y.

Product

  • 80% of YouTube’s views are from outside of the U.S.
  • YouTube has launched local versions in more than 70 countries.
  • You can navigate YouTube in a total of 76 different languages (covering 95% of the Internet population).

Mobile

  • Once users are on YouTube, they are spending more time per session watching videos. On mobile, the average viewing session is now more than 40 minutes, up more than 50% y/y.
  • The number of hours people spent watching videos on mobile is up 100% y/y.
  • More than half of YouTube views come from mobile devices.

SO WHAT’S THE NUMBER ONE DIGITAL VIDEO ADVERTISING SECRET?

DON’T BE BORING!

I’m giving some training on how to CREATE LAUNCH MAINTAIN AND GROW AN ONLINE PRODUCT USING VIDEO.

You can sign up here:

Why Do I Care?

I used to be a starving artist. I think artists create the future – they are the dreamers of better conditions, solutions to problems.

Everyone is some kind of artist, think about it, playing golf is an art; cooking is an art. dressing in the morning is an art.

Digital Video Marketing Conclusion:

List Building Secrets – How I Get 5,000 Opt-Ins Per Month

List Building Info Graphic

9439766834_c6092a76c0_k-001

Today I am going to show you how to Rapidly Build A List of your Ideal Clients.

Some people say having a list is an important part of your business. I say they are wrong – IT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF GROWING AN ONLINE (OR ANY) BUSINESS.

If build your list of IDEAL CLIENTS consistently – you will eventually become the master of your own business and achieve the freedom you have always dreamed of.

Of course, results will vary for each person who reads this. I’m not psychic and I don’t claim to be. I can not guarantee that this will happen for you- as much as I can guarantee that if you buy a stair-climber – you will lose weight. You have to actually get on the stair climber and start climbing! The Goal is to take massive action.

Over the last seven years, I’ve worked on both ends of the spectrum: Small & Large Businesses. I have advised and worked with Madison Avenue (MADMEN) Type Agencies, including Campbell Ewald – Who has clients like PIMCO, Cadillac, AT&T, Chicken of the Sea, etc. I have helped build sites up to 12 million visits per month. I have worked as a traffic architect on some of the largest websites out there. I have also taken small sites from scratch to over 30,000 organic visits per month.

Did you know 66% of all consumers over the age of 15 made a purchase because of an email?

Simple Ways To Grow Your Email List … How To Get Your Facebook Friend’s Emails? Simple: LINKEDIN!

Did You Know Linkedin Lets You Export Your Network’s Email Addresses? First you have to connect your facebook to Yahoo’s ymail.

Facebook has made it much more difficult to get email addresses from people. However, there is a simple way to do it that I like and to do it legitimately for business purposes. See, LINKEDIN is all about business, it is quite alright to reach out to your LINKEDIN contacts for business needs, whereas Facebook doesn’t quite have the same vibe.

STEP 1: Get a Yahoo! Mail Account (Or Sign in if you already have one).

Head on down to Yahoo! Mail and create an account or sign in if you’ve already got an account.

STEP 2: Import Your Facebook, Google, Gmail and Other contacts into YMAIL (AKA YAHOO MAIL, HOTMAIL, ETC.).

Sometimes the Yahoo! Mail Facebook importer can be a bit temperamental. If it fails, try it again. In my experience it does work, but you have to be a bit patient.

a) Click on the Contacts tab at the top, and then click the button “import contacts” on the right. (If you’ve just signed up for a new Yahoo! Mail account, you’ll get this option as soon as you create the account.)

Yahoo Mail Importer b) Click on the Facebook icon to proceed.

STEP 3: Merge All YAHOO Contacts With LINKEDIN – and then you can send invites to connect to all your business-minded Facebook friends.

B2B MARKETING: ARE YOU MAKING THESE 3 BIG MISTAKES?

b2b-internet-marketing-agency

I’ll Bet These Three Mistakes Are Costing You Thousands!

In this post, I’m going to cover three mistakes that cost B2B Marketing Firms Thousands upon Thousands of Dollars. Keep Reading!

B2B Internet Marketing Agency Services

Three B2B Marketing Mistakes

Viral-Marketing-HoleHow would you like to know three little mistakes that could be causing you up to 500% less Revenue and Conversions on Your Website? Well in this article I will paint a perfect picture for you and provide you with the Solutions to these invisible website holes.

Aha! It is the invisible holes that are the hardest to see – because they do not draw any attention to themselves – but I will make them clear as daylight. (Keep reading)

Viral Marketing Black Hole #1 – “Failure To Capture Identities”

Ahhh the wisest SEO’s among us know that Traffic without conversion is worthless. Let me take it a step further – You could be getting millions of visits without making a dime – or getting one phone call. Sometimes you see websites that are just Gibberish and Keywords strewn that make no sense – they seem like they are written in another language. That is not SEO – that is a joke. A junk site that is SEO optimized is just junk site with more traffic – and they may click – but they won’t stay for long…

What’s the Solution: A good article – with a great call to action – or a pop-up with great products. Especially an important download that your public would actually want. Give away great FREE Stuff – and all your visitors need to give in exchange is their identity – if your site and download are good enough – people will not mind giving their information.

Viral Marketing Black Hole #2 – “Failure To Follow Up”

Viral-Marketing-Hole-1

Viral-Marketing-Hole-1

Say you did capture their identity? Ahhh but here comes the second invisible Black Hole. Many visitors may not be ready for your product yet – or maybe they are waiting for that huge check that is in the mail. But they came – they saw – and they left. You got their address – but then what? Are you following up? Are you continuing to interest them in your services. A major survey done showed that the amount of follow-up needed to close a deal has increased dramatically – sometimes it can take 18 repeat messages to finally get someone to buy. Are you going the distance?

The Solution: An automatic email campaign to keep them interested in your product – or a Newsletter at the very least. But something to continually remind them of what they are missing by not working with you – and continually grab their attention.

Viral Marketing Gaping Hole #3 – “Post Purchase or Conversion Follow-up” AKA Referral Marketing

Let us hypothetically say that you are doing number 1 (Capturing The Identity Adequately) and number 2 (Following Up Efficiently). Well – are you getting referrals? Specifically – are you asking your pleased clients to tell others? Are you asking them to leave reviews?

Once upon a time, it used to be – Had you seen a good post-card or good “looking” item on TV or heard it on the Radio – you might have bought it. This is no longer the case. Some engineers at Google found that the Internet introduced a whole new Pillar or Column in the Universal Buying cycle – People are actually investigating the Truth on a given item before they buy. These engineers wrote a book – called ZMOT or (The Zero Moment of Truth) which discusses this new step in the buying cycle.

Viral Marketing Black Hole

Viral Marketing Black Hole

The Solution? Simple! Just ask. Just send a follow-up email – or call asking satisfied, happy clients to leave reviews or tell their friends. Additionally – make it really easy for people to share their good experiences. That my friend, is how you kick off viral products…

If you like this article – please click one of the sharing buttons or forward it to a friend (see I asked).

Best of Luck,

Charles

How to Create, Launch and Grow an Online Product FROM SCRATCH

In this article we will show you how to get 78% more traffic and revenue through Social Media Marketing.Hush Hush, here’s a checklist I usually charge thousands for… Our Top Consulting Consultants are going to give you step-by-step instructions of how to get Thousands of followers in one week, keep reading.

0. Find Your Passion – and start writing.

It is NO FUN to write about something that bores you. You should be talking about your passion and what lights your fire. When you write about something that lights you fire, it becomes easy.

Everybody feels passionate about something even if they don’t realize it. I was reading a blog about Gun Control the other day and it was completely biased. I got very passionate about it, but I didn’t realize that I was passionate on that subject until I saw what I wrote.
The first step before creating your blog is to find what you can be passionate about in your field. Even if it is quality – anyone can be passionate about quality in their work.

1. Start blogging – you don’t have to re-create the wheel.

The first thing you should know is that you don’t need to recreate the wheel. 9 out of 10 times you will write a great article if you base your article off another one that you love.

Often times a writer will leave important information out – that you can fill in. Find two articles that cover separate aspects and combine them to make one great long article.

I’m not saying to copy and paste – I’m saying consider their article as the original Star Trek and yours should be the new and improved Star Trek the Next Generation.

How can you one-up what they have?

Alright, so now you are ready to write a new blog post. Hopefully you can link out to a few of the other blogs you like within your articles and give them some kudos too.

When you write an article, make it conversational, like you are talking to a friend – don’t use big words, make it very “Laid-back”.

– Use the word You, a lot or say “I” – use direct conversation.
– If you don’t know what to write: “How To” – posts always do well.

Use Info-Graphics. Info-Graphics should have around 5 facts or stats. Not too long or too short.
What are Info-graphics?

Information graphics or info-graphics [for short] are graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge. Usually with a pretty design, they tell an interesting story with statistics or data – in a visually pleasing way.

When you are into Search Marketing – you know how important people linking to you are. I’ve had over 500 great sites link to me in one week from one info-graphic that I created.

NOTE : Ideally every article should have a Catchy Image, Info-graphic, Video and a Download to give something for free:

PR Newswire reports that a study of releases on their wire service shows that:
Adding a photo or an image increases views of the release by 14%.
Adding a video gives you a 28% increase in views.
Make that an image and a video and you’ll get a 48% boost in views.
Go all the way and put in a photo, a video, a graphic and a download and you’ll see a 78% jump in the number of views!

Okay so if you add a VIDEO, IMAGE + INFOGRAPHIC and a DOWNLOAD – you’ll get 78% MORE VIEWS?

I’m sure they have to be good quality. But yeah, that is what the survey said…

It does not say that you have to create each of them yourself – I would recommend that you give credit where credit is due and don’t violate copyrights.

What is Creative commons?

Creative Commons licenses on images provide a flexible range of protections and freedoms for authors, artists, and educators.

You can do an advanced Flickr search for people who have given their images “creative commons okay” to use.

2. For best Search Engines results content should be 2,400 words or longer. [_]

Search Engine’s push long, detailed posts with good content, [examples: Wikipedia, IMDB, Amazon]
– many of the top ranking pages have at least 2400 words.
– Always hook your readers with catchy Headlines.

3. Create a great headline. Use Copyblogger Headline formulas. [_]

– Create a conversation with readers. Always answer real questions, unless it’s SPAM.
– Use statistics. Prove your points and use data to back up your posts.

4. Use this following template: (This has gotten the best results)

Great Headline: [Keywords in front] i.e. “Keyword Keyword – Secrets Revealed”
[Insert Catchy Image]
Paragraph 1: Personal Experience
Paragraph 2: Statistics from obviously credible sources
[Insert Video]
Paragraph 3: How To & Instructions.
Paragraph 4 – Add Authority to your articles.
– Why are you someone they should listen to?
– Show your authority. How long have you been in the industry?
Paragraph 5 – You need to show that you care.
– Care about your readers. Show your care in this paragraph.
Paragraph 6: Add a Conclusion + Invite response with a question.
Ask your readers what they think about the topic.
[Insert Info-Graphic]

5. Create a list of 200 Bloggers, 200 Website Owners, 200 Twitter Users. [_]

No matter what industry you’re in, there are bloggers, website owners, and twitter users that all talk about the subject or similar subjects to what you are talking about. For example when you are inside the food industry [recipes], there are thousands of food blogs, Same with websites, there will be millions of pet related websites and a huge number of Twitter users who like tweeting about their recipe’s.

It will take a while to develop a comprehensive list, but it is worth it. Here is how I recommend you build your list:

Your list ought to contain at the least 200 blogs, 200 websites, and 200 twitter users.

6. Make sure Bloggers do not sell anything. [_]

Stay away from people who sell products on their sites. For example it will be much harder to get a Store or to hyperlink to you than a blogger who is active.

7. Make sure twitter users are active. [_]

Make sure you only list Twitter users who are active. Check if a website hasn’t been updated in over a year or a Twitter user hasn’t tweeted in the last week, don’t bother adding them to your list.

If you don’t have time:

It can take a while to create a good list, but through services like Freelancer.com you should be able to get it all done for under $100.

8. Make a spreadsheet of their full name, Website URL and email address. [_]

Whether you create your list or you hire someone on oDesk, make sure it contains their full name, website URL, name of their website, and email address.

Check them on other social networks – if they write a lot they should have Linkedin accounts, etc.
Now that you have a list of 200 blogs, you need to start emailing them to see if they will accept a guest post from you.

Here is the template I tend to use:

9. Use this template for guest Blogging – send to all 200 Top Bloggers [_]

Subject: you should blog about [insert your guest blog post topic]
[insert their first name], as an avid reader of [insert their site name] I would love to read about [insert guest blog post topic]… and I think your other readers would as well.

Your content on [insert existing post from their website #1, insert existing post from their website #2, and insert existing post from their website #3] are great, but I think you can tie it all together by blogging on [insert guest blog post topic].

I know you are probably busy and won’t blog on it – so I’m going to make you an offer you can’t refuse. 😉 How about I write it for you? Don’t worry, I’m a great blogger and have written posts such as [insert blog post post URL #1] and [insert blog post URL #2].

Let me know if you are interested, I already know your blogging style, plus I understand what your readers love… as I am one. 😉
Look forward to hearing from you,
[insert your name]

10. Hit up great sites with .org, .edu or .gov status and high page rank sites. [_]
Guest posting will drive traffic back to your blog and help you gain readers. You just have to make sure you link back to your blog in your author byline or within the blog post when it makes sense.

11. Link out to other bloggers from your own site. [_]
Hopefully by now you’ve written at least 2 or 3 guest posts, which would mean you should have some new readers. So when you write new blog posts it should gain some traction, hopefully a few tweets and Facebook shares.

12. Write “Curation” Content. [_]
What is Blog Curation?
Curation means: “Certification of the trustworthiness and integrity of the collection content.” AKA “Hey this is good stuff”.
Basically you are vouching that a number of other blogger’s content is good and you can use the first 200 words of each to illustrate what you are talking about.
Once you have the post up you’ll want to manually email all of the individuals that you link out and ask them to share your post on the social web as well as tell them to share it with their blog readers.
For example, you could write a blog post titled “101 Resources for Writers” and within that post you can link to good articles that you find on other peoples’ sites.

13. Sign up for Reddit Paid for three days @ $30 per day. [_]
In addition to that email you must visit Reddit and send $100 worth of traffic for your blog post.

14. Sign up for stumbleupon.com paid discovery ($100 Dollars). [_]
Stumbleupon is a great way to get found and they only charge 10 cents per click.
This way your post will get more than 1000 guests and those 100 or so web pages you linked out to will see you as a referrer within their analytics reports. This will help enhance your odds of getting linked to by other bloggers as well as raise your odds of getting extra social shares.

15. Direct Message list of 200 Twitter Users and ask them to retweet. [_]
You have content material on your blog, but have you a ton of tweets?
You need to get a ton of shares.
Social signals enhance Search Engine rankings so the more tweets, likes and +1’s you get – the better off you’ll be.
How do you get these tweets you ask? You can wait for them to happen naturally, but as you already know, that probably won’t happen. So why not just ask for them?
You can’t do this every single time you publish a blog post, but every single time you create an incredible one particular, why not direct message your list of 200 Twitter users and inside a 140 characters ask them nicely to tweet your hyperlink out.
Use this message
I’d really like it if you could tweet [insert link] for your followers. Let me know if I can do a tweet for you in exchange.
This tells them that you will go the distance as well. You should get around 8% conversion on this method (8/100).

15-A. Follow this procedure for:
Google +1’s – [_]
Facebook Likes – [_]
Pins – [_]
16. Email the 200 website owners to get them to link to your blog. [_]
The more traffic you get to your blog, the better off you are. So just like you emailed the bloggers on your list above, you also want to email website owners to see if you can get them to link to your blog.
You can use one of these email templates to solicit a link. My favorite is:

17. Email the 200 website owners to get them to link to your blog: [_]
WHAT’S IN IT FOR THEM?
What’s the first question that comes to mind when you’re approached by anyone hoping to get you to do anything, so it’s important to answer this question from the get go.
Subject: [insert first name of website owner], THANK YOU!
My name is . “I just read your post regarding and I found it to be both funny and informative.
I love your stuff. Don’t worry, it’s not in a creepy way, mostly I’m in love with your website [insert their website name]. You probably get tons of people everyday whom are in love with [insert website name]. I won’t bore you with my details – Instead I thought I could show some appreciate by giving you some feedback from a reader’s perspective – on how you can improve your website.
Insert suggestion #1
Insert suggestion #2
And if you are wondering how you can repay your biggest fan, feel free to link to my website [insert URL].
You’ve already done enough for me by making [insert their website name] so awesome!
Best,
[insert your name]

For .gov and .edu (corporate and educational) website’s you may want to go a little more professional:
Subject: [insert first name of website owner], THANK YOU!
My name is . “I just read your post regarding and I found it to be both funny and informative.
I’m currently working with to announce their latest content: , and thought this might be of interest to you and your readers, it provides an awesome way to (I was thinking we could share links to each other . You can article our site at . If you like it, I’d appreciate it if you could add it to your or announce it to your readers. Alternatively, you can utilize the customized badge or link code provided below. I’d be willing to do the same in return.
I know I’m asking a lot – you’ve already done enough for me by making [insert their website name] so awesome! – Cheers

18. Write a blog post that lists out TOP 100 Blog list that you would like to be featured in: [_]
The next step for you is to write a blog post that contains the top 100 blogs in your space. You can pick blogs from your list of 200 that you collected in step 1, but you don’t want to limit it to that list. Add anyone that should be on it.

19. Create an Ego Bait Badge in the sidebar: [_]
Create your own top 150 marketing blogs list with a badge.
What’s Egobait?
It’s similar to “Link-Bait”.
Many people will have heard of link bait. The entire process of creating content almost exclusively with the intention of getting links using their websites. Well, ego bait isn’t very different for this however, instead of simply developing a generic blog publish or info-graphic, you really target specific people or companies in order to encourage them to connect to or market your work.
The next step for you is to create a blog post that contains the major 100 blogs in your space. It is possible to pick blogs from your list of 200 that you simply collected in step 1, but you do not want to limit it to that list. Add anyone that ought to be on it.
Once you have the blog post all written, you need to find a web design company like ours to help generate a badge. The badge should really say one thing like “Top 100 [insert the category with the blog] blog”. You also want to develop an embed code so that men and women who are on that list can easily place a badge on their blog.
20. Email all of your list, using outlook.com and let them know that you have added them to your blogroll. [_]
Once you add a handful of sites to your blogroll, you want to email them and let them know. If they add you to their blogroll within 7 days, keep them on your blogroll… if not replace them with another blog. Repeat this whole process until you have a handful of sites that are linking to you within their blogroll.

Again, don’t worry about the SEO benefit from a blogroll, create a blogroll to gain traffic from other related blogs. In the long run this will help you gain more readers.

21. Go to every person on your 600 list and leave GREAT comments on all posts. [_]
It’s a tedious task to leave comments on other people’s blog, but it is a necessary evil. Add of all the blogs in your space to a blog feed reader (Google’s Feedburner.com) and once a day comment on at least 5 new blog posts.
Add Valuable info to that person.
Your comments should be thorough, and shouldn’t be spammy or self-promoting. Instead you should just try to provide valuable input that benefits other people.
Also when you leave comments, use your real name and blog URL. This way if people like what you have to say, they’ll click on your name and end up on your blog. This is a great way to gain readers… and it is actually the approach Pete Cashmore used to help gain his first few readers for Mashable.

22. Buy readers – ask them to subscribe to your RSS feed. [_]
Using Articleme.com get readers to subscribe.
Even if you do all of the things above, there isn’t a guarantee that you’re blog will be popular. You should be able to get tens of thousands of readers through the methods above, but getting hundreds of thousands is a much harder task.
What you can do is find other popular blogs in your space and pay them to blog about your blog and how great it is. When they write the blog post make sure you have them tell their readers to subscribe to your RSS feed.
When buying blog posts from other bloggers, feel free to have them nofollow the links to you as you don’t want to get penalized for “buying links”.
Conclusion
23. Repeat these steps at least once a month. Use article.me to get 3000 RSS feeds. [_]
If you do the above steps you should have enough readers coming to your blog. When you publish content, it will get the attention it needs so that you will naturally get back links.

24. Convert readers into members – Use a lightbox to get subscribers & capture identities. [_]

a. Get their name, address, company and phone number for future sales. [_]
b. put the subscribers on a carefully planned email follow-up system.

25. Ensure there is a follow –up sequence of at least 18 emails Every Monday and Thursday of your best articles – to keep readers coming back for more [_]
We have found it takes over 18 emails sometimes to get people to trust you enough to buy. You need to sign them up on your subscription.

26. COFFEE IS FOR CLOSERS – Get the sale – (follow up with every prospect to get the sale) [_]
Create a funnel for contacting and closing members.
27. After every close, get the people on a new campaign to invite other members for free. [_]
Start every new paid member on a Referral program.
28. Ask all sold people to leave good articles – those who are happy will and those who don’t care will not – unless they are really upset. [_]

Get other people to write articles once you start getting happy customers.
Just make sure you continually rinse and repeat the steps above… as many of the methods such as guest posting can be used on a regular basis. Within 6 months of doing everything above, you should have a popular blog that gets at least 10,000 monthly visitors if not well over 25,000 visitors.

YouTube is a video website on which users can upload, share, and watch videos. It’s a great resource. Since 2008, YouTube HD Videos have been available in a range of quality levels , with the higher quality levels offering improved picture definition. In late 2008 YouTube Provided 720p HD support. And in November 2009, 1080p HD support was launched! Now users are allowed to upload and watch their HD videos on YouTube.com.

YouTube provides support for uploading, hosting, streaming and playback of HD (High Definition) video for quite a while now; Webmasters who want to embed YouTube videos on their websites have made use of the YouTube higher-quality video embed code trick and YouTube HD video embed code hacks to present the high definition videos to their readers. Since then, YouTube has a new embeded player parameter switch that can enable HD playback by default, if available – which I will show you here.

Multiple uploading methods provide you the most convenient way to convert and upload almost any HD video.

YouTube HD Settings – Step one is to go to this link:

I know you are probably busy and won’t blog on it – so I’m going to make you an offer you can’t refuse. ;) How about I write it for you? Don’t worry, I’m a great blogger and have written posts such as [insert blog post post URL #1] and [insert blog post URL #2].

Let me know if you are interested, I already know your blogging style, plus I understand what your readers love… as I am one. ;-)

My name is <Insert Name>. “I just read your post regarding <insert subject> and I found it to be both funny and informative.

My name is <Insert Name>. “I just read your post regarding <insert subject> and I found it to be both funny and informative.

I’m currently working with <Insert Client Site Name> to announce their latest content: <Insert Article/Linkbait Name>, and thought this might be of interest to you and your readers, it provides an awesome way to <insert benefit for the site owner> (I was thinking we could share links to each other <Insert Benefit For The Site Here>. You can article our site at <Insert URL>. If you like it, I’d appreciate it if you could add it to your <links page url> or announce it to your readers. Alternatively, you can utilize the customized badge or link code provided below. I’d be willing to do the same in return.

I know I’m asking a lot – you’ve already done enough for me by making [insert their website name] so awesome! – Cheers <Insert Name>

Do you know of any other ways you can market your content?

Old Google Maps 3d Lite Versiosn

Let’s say you want to view the old version of Google Maps (Google Maps Classic) to grab any of the cool features they used to have.

If you are doing SEO you may want to read my other post on Google+ Places and Google Maps SEO

But I thought you might like to know how to view Google maps in different ways like 3D, lite or the old Classic Version. And I’ve outlined some URL’s for you:

This is what Google Says:

“We’ve seen that several of you are experiencing switching between the full version of the new Google Maps and Lite mode. Depending on your system, Google Maps may automatically switch to Lite mode. If you’d like to manually switch to a specific mode, you can try opening the following URLs on your browser.

Based on your computer speed, Google may switch automatically. But bookmark this page if you want to see Google Maps in different versions.

“If you meet all the system requirements and are still experiencing issues accessing the full 3D version, try restarting your browser. If that doesn’t do the trick, submit feedback by clicking the question mark in the bottom right corner of the map. Please include your GPU information (if on Chrome, enter “about:gpu” into the address bar) and “#gpu1″ in your feedback report. If you’re comfortable sharing your GPU information here, please include.

  • Browser and version

What Was Cool About The Old Google Maps?

Just so you know, some of these features disappeared with the recent Google Maps update. We really hope Google brings them back!

Google Maps is pretty useful for getting driving directions, but did you know all the other things you could do with it? Here’s a few of those nifty tips and tricks hidden in Google Maps.

Get Walking and Public Transit Directions
Not only can you get driving directions to and from a location, you can get walking directions, too. You can also get public transportation directions in select areas.
If this is available in your area, you will see a drop-down list of choices underneath the location and destination field. Select car, walking, or public transport, and the directions are customized for you.

Alternate Driving Directions by Dragging
Do you know you need to avoid a construction zone or toll area, or do you want to take a longer route in order to see something along the way? Change your route by dragging the path around. You don’t want too much of a heavy hand when you do this, but it’s a very handy feature.

Embed Maps on Your Website or Blog
If you click on the link text on the upper right-hand side of a Google Map, it will give you the URL to use as a link to your map. Just below that, it gives you the code you can use to embed a map in any Web page that accepts embed tags. (Basically, if you can embed a YouTube video on that page, you can embed a map.) Just copy and paste that code, and you’ve got a nice, professional looking map on your page or blog.

View Mashups
Google Maps allows programmers to hook into Google Maps and combine it with other data sources. This means you can see some interesting and unusual maps.
Gawker took advantage of this to make the somewhat creepy Gawker Stalker. This map gets real-time reports of celebrity sightings and shows the location on Google Maps. A science fiction twist to this idea is the Doctor Who Locations map that shows areas where the BBC television series is filmed.
Another map shows where US zip code boundaries are, or you can find out what the effects of a nuclear blast would be.

Create Your Own Maps
You can make your own map. You don’t need programming expertise to do it. You can add flags, shapes and other objects, and publish your map publicly or share it only with friends. Are you hosting a birthday party in the park? Why not make sure your guests can really find how to get to the right picnic shelter.

Edit Locations in Google Maps
Is your house in the wrong spot on the map? Do you know that the entrance to the store is on the other side of the block? Did the record store move? You can edit it. You can’t edit every location, and you can’t move things too far from their original location. Your edits will display your profile name to avoid abuse.

Get a Map of Traffic Conditions
Depending on your city, you can view traffic conditions when you look at Google Maps. Combine that with the ability to create an alternate route, and you can navigate the toughest traffic jam. Just don’t try doing this while you’re driving.

See Your Location on a Map From Your Phone – Even Without GPS
That’s right, Google Maps for Mobile can tell you approximately where you are from your phone, even if you don’t have GPS. Google put together a video that explains how this works. You do need a phone with a data plan to access Google Maps for Mobile, but it’s a nice perk to having one.

Street View
Street view shows you images that were captured from a special camera (shown here) attached to a black VW Beetle. Google has gotten into some trouble for this feature by people who think of it as a stalker tool or an invasion of privacy, but it’s intended as a way to find your address and know what your destination will look like. Google responded to privacy concerns by implementing technology designed to blur faces and license plate numbers from the captured images.

Share Your Location With Your Friends
Google introduced a Maps feature called Latitude that lets you share your location with select friends. You can update your location manually or automatically, and you can use Latitude on phones or standard computers.
It may seem a bit creepy to enable location sharing, but you can turn the service on or off as you desire. It’s saved me calls from my husband to ask if I’m coming home at my usual time. He can just use Latitude to see if I’m at work or on the bus.

Conclusion

Can you think of any other cool features on that are now missing on the new Google Maps and Google + for Business?

Corporate Video Production Companies in LA – Get 78% More Sales

SEO-Video-Tips

My main focus in the video production business is to figure out how I can use my talents as a video producer to make the most money with the least amount of effort…all while building a business asset that will someday allow me to retire and travel the world while I’m still young enough to actually enjoy it!

Yahoo Tube – You Tube Advertsising and Marketing

My personal income has increased by about 750% since I started my video production business back in 2000 and the gross sales revenue for the company has grown by over 1200% in the same period of time.

I’m not anywhere close to my definition of wealthy but I’m a heck of a lot closer now than I was 9 years ago when i started this journey as a video business owner. The point I’m trying to make in this article is that the turning point for my wealth and the success of my video business was when I decided to stop pursuing wedding video business and to focus 100% of my efforts on selling, producing and delivering corporate video presentations.

The fact of the matter is that when you sell a wedding video, you are asking a family to give you money out of their personal checking account. When you sell a corporate video, you are asking someone to write you a check out of their business checking account.

The difference is that businesses typically have thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions or even billions of dollars they can tap into in order to purchase your services whereas a family (wedding client) usually has to go into debt to purchase your services.

Which group of people do you think provides the most opportunity for your video business?

Based on my experience, I’d vote corporate every time. Assuming you agree or at least that you are interested in exploring it further, here’s some insight on making the transition from wedding videography to corporate video production.

Please keep in mind that I have nothing against wedding videography and I know that many of you choose to produce wedding videos because you do not enjoy corporate video production. This article isn’t for you.

My uncle Grayson, also an entrepreneur, told me when I first started my video production business that I should always try to sell services that would enable me to make the most money possible with the equipment/software I had invested in.

He added that to sell services that were any less than the most your equipment could produce was not good business and would someday lead to trouble. I must admit that at the time I didn’t really understand what he meant. However, after all the lessons I’ve learned by having my feet in the fire, I know without a shadow of doubt that he was and is absolutely right!

Your $5,000 video camera can be used to produce a $2,000 wedding video. It can also be used to produce a $20,000 training video. The same goes for your editing system, software, etc. Assuming you are a fairly competent editor, you can probably edit the wedding video in about 40-60 hours which means if you work a normal work week of say 50 hours, you’ll be able to produce about $10,000 per month in revenue for your business.

And that’s humping it…not leaving you much time to do anything else to build or run your video production business.

You can plan, shoot and edit the training video in the same one month period of time and due to the nature of the training video market segment, you can command anywhere from $4,000 to $20,000 in fees per video. See where I’m going?

Producing corporate videos will generate you anywhere from twice to five times the income in one month than wedding videos will produce and you can do all or most of it with the same production equipment and software you have now.

So, you can dispel the myth that you have to have more gear to produce corporate videos. It simply isn’t true. You can rent what you don’t own and pass the costs through to the client.

Assuming that you are on the same page with what I’ve mentioned above, doesn’t it make sense to start to gradually shift your thinking to figure out how to get any or a lot of the corporate video business in your area? Yes it does!

Even a small share of the corporate market will dramatically increase your revenue and therefore result in a fatter wallet.

I could write a book on moving from weddings to corporate (and some day I probably will!) but for the sake of my time and yours, I’ll limit this article to a small handful of tips.

1. Pay attention to what the families of the bride and groom do for a living.

Expensive weddings usually mean there is someone on either the bride or groom’s side that has money. Many of these people are either executives for major companies or entrepreneurs of some sort. Target the father’s of the bride and groom to chat with when you are standing in line at the buffet and simply ask them what they do.

(The mother of the bride and groom will still be crazy over the details of the wedding/reception so approach them after the dust has settled on the event.)

If they work for a business or own a business, briefly pitch your corporate services and ask if they mind if you contact them after you have delivered the wedding video to further discuss potential opportunities with their business. Don’t think for a second that they will be offended by talking business at their son or daughter’s wedding.

Trust me, they will be dying for a conversation that doesn’t involve decisions related to the wedding. Plus, if they are affluent, odds are good that many of their clients or executive co-workers are at the wedding anyway and you know that they have already been talking shop because that’s what like minded people do…..even at their own son or daughter’s wedding!

CAUTION: I don’t suggest this tactic if the target in this case is the groom. As you know, his mind is scrambled and he won’t remember any conversation he has at the wedding. Call him after you deliver the wedding video and set up the meeting to discuss your corporate services then.

2. When the wedding season is over, look for opportunities to cover important civic events in the community that are sponsored by major businesses.

You simply call the organization and offer to produce a short highlight video of the event or gavel-to-gavel coverage (whatever makes sense for the event) in exchange for a high-level sponsorship package. This will put your logo and exposure on the same level as other major businesses. I’ve done this at about 50 events which has resulted in my video production business being exposed to thousands of corporate prospects.

Not every person in the room or who will watch the video are legitimate prospects for you, but the mass exposure will dramatically increase your corporate video production opportunities and it won’t cost you anything other than your time and the cost of distribution (blank media, hosting, etc). I set up a website that has since been taken down that I used to post the community videos we produced. You can always use a free service like YouTube, Facebook or Vimeo if you don’t want to pay anything to host the videos.

This was a great way to keep our brand top of mind. Be careful though, it will be tempting to think you can make more money by monetizing this event coverage service you are providing. Although you can make a little money charging for this service, keep your eye on the prize.

You want to use this free community service to open the door for larger, high paying projects.

3. Promote yourself as a freelance camera operator or production assistant to local/regional corporate video production companies.

This will help you make extra money in the off-season and will also help you learn the dynamics of corporate video production. Be willing to do anything no matter what the pay is to get your foot in the door. Then, as you build your reputation, you’ll be able to steadily increase your rates over time.

Do your best to present yourself as an ally and not as a person trying to compete with them. You don’t want other producers or videographers to think that you will contact their clients once you’ve left the set of their project.

And, no matter how tempting it will be for you to do so. DON’T! It’s unethical and will damage your reputation. It’s not worth it.

There’s plenty of business for you to get without sharking someone else’s waters. What you’ll find by doing great work and by being an ethical freelance videographer, they’ll start throwing scraps your way….the projects that aren’t worth their time but they still want to handle in order to maintain a positive client relationship.

You’ll get the call to produce it under their umbrella. This not only is an outstanding source of revenue, it’s a great way to slowly and profitably break your way into the corporate video production business.

When run properly and when focused on the right target market, wedding videography can be profitable. However, my experience has shown that much more money can be made with less effort in corporate video production.

I hope you’ll consider making the transition in your own video business or at least that you’ll find ways to expand your service offering to represent business video services. Your success rides on it!
